Newsletter 1 27 January 2022
From the Principal
Hi everyone
I hope you are well.
Thank you for your cooperation during the extended student holiday due to the current Covid situation, with school formally starting on Monday 7 February. Vulnerable children and children of essential workers may access supervision by arrangement with schools prior to February 7. A survey for supervision requirements for next week will be sent out later today.
I have again included links below to important information - around mandatory vaccinations and mask wearing in all education settings, for all people working in/or delivering services in education and care settings. This includes parents who volunteer at school (e.g. tuckshop, classroom reading etc). There is an updated digital sign-in system in use in the office. Again I urge you to follow the links to the information provided.

It is also very important to remind you that children who have any cold or flu like symptoms, should not be sent to school, once we get started for the year.
Any child who is showing signs of illness or feeling unwell, must stay at home. If they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms , no matter how mild, call your doctor or 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84) and get tested . Read more about COVID-19 and your child’s health .
If a child is showing signs of illness at school, the school will contact the parent or carer to collect the child.
Our staff are doing their best to ensure a positive start to the school year for all of our students and we look forward to working with you in 2022. Please keep you eye out for next week’s newsletter.
Kind regards
Simon

Slow down around school zones
Queensland state schools start back on Monday 7 Febraury, so motorists need to remember to slow down in school zones and be mindful of children in and around school areas from the start of the school term. School zones will be back in action with 40km/hr speed limits in place around most school areas, so drivers should be vigilant to look out for signage to make sure they’re travelling the right speed and watch out for children crossing the road.
