Newsletter 17 November Week 7 Term 4
From the Principal
Hi everyone,
It is a very busy time of the term and year. It is important for everyone to stay calm and focused on the work that we do.
We are still working through our enrolment and staffing considerations for 2022. As mentioned at the P&C meeting last week, we will most probably maintain 11 classes in 2022 (this is not certain yet). It is vitally important that we have included any school movement in 2022 and new enrolments as soon as possible. This will also impact on class groupings for 2022. Class lists will be emailed during the final week of school on Wednesday 8 December.
Year 6 Graduation
Our Year 6 Graduation evening will be held in the hall on Monday 6 December 6:15 for 6:30 pm. Due to current Covid Restrictions for indoor events (1 person per 2m2 ) invitations will be limited to 3 guests per student. Invitations will be sent to families early next week. There will be a pizza van available to cater for a gathering afterwards- to be ordered and paid by families. Please reserve the date if your child is graduating this year.
Final assembly
Tuesday 7 December at 2:00pm will take place in the hall - invitations to parents (only) of Citizenship and Academic Award Winners will be emailed in week 8.
Year 6 parents are invited to attend at 2:50pm on Tuesday for the ringing of the bell tradition. I ask year 6 parents to wait on the grassed area in front of the bell (maintaining social distancing).
We are finalising details for age-group end of year concerts in the final week of school (most probably 3 groups). We have limited capacity within the school hall but we should manage to allow parents to attend smaller end of year concerts in the final week of school. We will publish these session details in the newsletter next week.
Have a great week

From the Uniform Shop
Volunteers wanted to help the Uniform Shop on Prep Orientation Day!
Calling for volunteers to help Jodie in the Uniform Shop at the Prep Orientation day on Friday 26 November from 8.45am to 10.15am.
The uniform shop can get a little busy on Orientation morning so help is always appreciated and it is pretty easy work too! We get to meet some of the new prep parents, help them download the Qkr! app and assist them with sizing and ordering of uniforms.
To put your hand up to help or to find out more, please email: uniforms@burandasspandc.org.au
Many thanks,
Jodie - Uniform Shop Convenor
Fron Helping Hands
A big hello from the team at Helping Hands,
Well, it is that time of year again, holidays are just around the corner and Christmas is looming closer, so this is my general hurry up to make your holiday bookings now. I have attached a program of what we are up to each day. We only have Incursions for the first two weeks.
We close on Thursday 23 December and there is no service on Friday 24 December.
Bookings need to be made before school holidays start so I have some hope of staffing properly. I will be putting in reminders up to the end of term.
Kindest regards,
Sue Chiswell
